Vernon College has recently become a part of a major new development in the provision of Further Education, Training, and Higher Education. It opened on 1st November 2018, having emerged from lengthy discussion about merging with several established educational providers.

Our new Headquarters and Main Campus is based in the former Courtauld Institute Buildings in Nottingham and has recently undergone a major transformation. Following extensive refurbishment, we have outstanding facilities for learners and staff, and are introducing a wide range of courses. In addition, as a result of our recent partnerships, we also have excellent facilities throughout the UK. We have premises in Nottingham, London, Crawley. Leicester, Rotherham, Barnsley, Salford, Wigan, Merseyside, and in the North East. We also have a base in Edinburgh and are developing a new partnership with Glasgow Caledonian University – a world Top 150 University with an outstanding reputation for work-based learning.

VCC is approved for delivery of courses by many leading Awarding Bodies in the UK, and also has direct links with two universities in Poland. Our courses are often fully funded (for eligible learners), and we have strong connections with many major employers.

A brief list of our course provision includes:

  • 16-18 education (O and A Levels), VTECs and Traineeships
  • 19+ education and training includes :
  • Adult Education Budget Courses (AEB) – Courses for unemployed adults, and those on low income
  • Apprenticeships
  • Access to Higher Education Diploma
  • 19+ Advanced Learners Loans for Courses at Levels 3 to 6
  • HNC & HND qualifications also available.

We are linked to an internationally accredited post-graduate programme provided by the Jozef Dietl University in Poland. This is a flexible, learner-centred model where students benefit from a blended learning approach – each learner has an appointed tutor, and availability to a wide range of media-related resources.

Currently, we are also developing a wide range of provision for international students utilising the UK government’s short-term study visa system. Contact us for details.

In addition, we provide a wide range of courses on a commercial basis. These include mandatory courses for employers/employees (first Aid at Work etc), interest-only courses in many subjects, and preparatory courses for those needing to engage with new subjects prior to making a major commitment.

English and Maths Courses up to and including Level 2 are always available, and are usually free. Contact us for information on 01709 464100 or email:
